Health Occupations Students Take Their CNA Exam

Finally the day has arrived!! We took our state test on Thursday, April 17. Our class went to Kishwaukee College, near DeKalb, to see if we have learned all we need to know to become Certified Nursing Assistants for the State of Illinois!

For many days before this test, we have been studying every day, reviewing things we learned the first day of school here at IVVC. What a long way we have come! We will know our results in about one week. Our last journey for this year will then start with an internship during some of our class time. The internships will help us with deciding where to work and what kinds of jobs will be available to us. For starting pay, most of us can earn $10 to $12 per hour. Much better than $7.50! We are lucky to have such a great start to our careers, thanks to the IVVC Health Occupations program!
