A 1995 Jeep Wrangler Gets a New Look in the Auto Body Class

by Joey P. & James K.

Recently in our Auto Body class we brought in a 1995 Jeep Wrangler to repair the dents, scratches, rust, and put on a four-inch suspension lift. First we focused on finding parts for the jeep such as a window frame, chrome hinges, and the suspension lift. Next we took all the old parts off and started prepping the new ones for painting. This consisted of sanding the plastic filler we put on to fix the imperfections. Then came the stages of prepping for priming, which we sanded again and then cleaned with Dupont final clean and then primed.

The suspension lift consisted of taking all the old parts off which we had to heat with the torch to break loose. Once all the old parts were off, we installed the new parts, which lifted the jeep four inches and allowed bigger tires. We are now in the process of redoing the interior by replacing the floor mats.

By Memorial Day weekend, the jeep will be painted and ready to be returned to our customer.
