The P.M. Graphics & Drafting classes together with Shavon, our Harrington College of Design representative, get together for a photo.

Colleges ... One Size Does NOT Fit All!

Choosing where to go to college is an extremely important decision that teens and their families have to make. In Graphics, we try to gather information by listening to presentations from a variety of schools and colleges. This year we have students who are interested in graphic design, photography, interior design, fashion design, gaming, and fine arts.

We recently had speakers from The Art Institutes and Harrington College of Design visit our classroom and here is what Graphics students had to say.

“This class has really opened up a gateway of careers in the art field.” Edwin M., Sandwich. “After Harrington made a presentation, I visited the school and had a positive experience, but I decided that Columbia College was a better fit for me because they offer a degree in fashion design.”Miranda H., Sandwich. “I’m a junior, and I will definitely look in to Harrington when I am choosing a college next year.”Megan J., Sandwich.

We will finish our “college searching” with a trip to Northern Illinois University campus in April and are looking forward to a tour of the art building.
