Aurora Police Train Law Enforcement Class
Aurora Police training supervisor Sgt. Mark Weeks stopped by the Law Enforcement program recently to do some training on handcuffing. In the past, we have been handcuffing as they teach in the academy. Sgt. Weeks suggested a better technique which all of their officers use today, called an “LA Modified”. He demonstrated on Tyler from Yorkville and then on Tyler from Somonauk. We then broke off into groups and practiced ourselves. It proved to be better than the way we were currently doing it. From now on, IVVC's Law Enforcement class will be following the APD style. See the Podcast below for a full explanation.
