Real Life Scenarios in Law Enforcement

Last week the Law Enforcement class was invited to use an abandoned house in Sandwich for scenarios. This proved to put the "building search" lesson to work. The students were not allowed to walk through the house prior to arrival. They were placed into the basement before the scenario was assigned, and then given a scenario.

The scenario was that a subject had just robbed a victim at gunpoint and ran into an abandoned house. The students had to effectively search the house using officer survival and safety skills while looking for a subject with a gun. The students enjoyed the real-life scenario and wish to thank the Sandwich Fire Department for the opportunity to use this house.
