The Latest on the Building Trades House

by Marv Carlton, Building Trades Instructor

We have just finished shingling the roof and are now on the inside doing framing in preparation for drywall. At this point, the plumbing, HVAC and electrical are completely roughed in, the basement floor has been poured and the basement stairs have been installed.

We are currently in the process of building the bay window in the breakfast area, framing five arched openings in various places, and finishing up the tray ceiling in the master bedroom.

In about one week, after we have done a few other minor miscellaneous things, we will be ready for our rough inspection. Once that has passed, we can proceed with insulation and then drywall.
