SkillsUSA Competition Season is Here!
February 22,
2008 will be an important date for several SkillsUSA students who
will be traveling to College of DuPage to take written tests in
their IVVC career areas. These tests determine whether a
student qualifies to compete at the State SkillsUSA Competition in
Springfield on April 17-19, 2008.
Along with the skills area testing, students will be taking a
Professional Development Test which serves as a tie breaker for
determining state competitors. IVVC has registered more than twenty
students, many of whom will take two qualifying tests to enhance
their chances of going down state. Students will be testing
in the following areas: Drafting (both Board and
Machine), CPR and First Aid, Nurse Assisting, Fire Fighter,
Criminal Justice, and Auto Service Technician. Good luck to all of
