Program Information: Health Occupations: Health Occ II articles

Health Occupations II

"As I enter my place of calling, I ask for strength as I help those in needing," a line from the nursing assistant's prayer. Throughout history, the health care system has changed dramatically in its practice and field. The Health Occupations II class is available only to seniors who wish to receive their CNA through IVVC's educational program.

In Health Occupations II, we will be learning about professionalism and discussing legal and ethical topics. Also as a student CNA, we will learn about infection control and good hygiene. In class we will be developing the basic knowledge and abilities of a certified nursing assistant and training over 60 hours in a clinical environment in order to legally take care of real patients/residents.
